The short version
We respect your privacy and try to collect as little data as possible. When we do collect something, we'll tell you what it is and why. Most tools here run locally in your browser—your data stays on your device.
Our default: If a tool can work without collecting data, it does. Local-first is always the goal.
What we collect (and don't)
Here's what applies across echobasedev Labs:
- Local-only tools: Many tools here run entirely in your browser. Your files, your content, your work—none of it leaves your device. We have no access to it.
- Basic analytics: We may use privacy-respecting analytics (like Plausible or similar) to understand which pages are visited. No cookies, no personal data, no tracking across sites.
- No account required: You don't need to sign up or log in to use most tools. If a tool ever requires an account, it will be clearly optional.
AI-assisted features
Some tools may include optional AI features that process content through external services. When this applies:
- Always opt-in: AI features are never on by default. You choose whether to enable them.
- Clear labeling: Before any data is sent to an AI service, you'll see exactly what's being sent and where it's going.
- No hidden processing: We don't silently analyze your content, train models on your data, or share it with third parties.
If a tool uses AI, the interface will make this obvious. Look for clear indicators before any external processing happens.
Cloud features (when applicable)
If a future tool includes cloud storage or sync:
- We'll explain exactly what's stored and where
- You'll have the ability to export and delete your data
- We won't sell, share, or monetize your content
Currently, most Labs projects are local-only and don't store anything on our servers.
Third-party services
When we use external services (fonts, analytics, AI APIs), we choose privacy-respecting options:
- Google Fonts: Used for typography. Google may collect basic request data. Their policy.
- Analytics: If used, we prefer cookie-free, GDPR-compliant services that don't track individuals.
- AI services: If/when used, specific providers and their policies will be disclosed within the tool.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Know what data we have about you (usually none)
- Request deletion of any data we might have
- Use our tools without being tracked
- Opt out of any optional data collection
